Noticing a disturbing dearth of info/postings from mid XC season to the current indoor season (is GHS even fielding a team?). Hope this isn't a post-BRD letdown. I know the website has had a few brief tech glitches, but not that much. What gives, current runners ? Please whet the appetite of us past (some very past) alumni !!! Thanks ! Run strong and Merry Christmas to all !

1. When brian was here we did use this message board more offten, but i could say when jared was here we used this message more offten too, Sure, he was sucsessful, running Federations and FLN's but it wasnt the Sole purpose for posting.
2. The high school runners who post on here see eachother everyday, usualy from 7:30 in the morning to 5:30 at night so we really dont need to come home and discuss even more running.. im not saying its not as important anymore, im sure you will see some posts about Yale and Dartmouth but from mid XC to now, there hasnt been anything spectacular to mention.. Leage meets really arent that exciting...
3. We actually have a decent indoor team this year, Most of the distance guys took about 2-3 weeks off and are now just getting back into it, so they wont be compeating yet due to lack of practices. Also we have some pretty good sprinters and great jumpers as well. In a few weeks we will be 100% and expect some pretty good races at Yale, mabye they might even be postworthy.....

Just because BRD graduated doesn't mean the world ended.

Thanks Messrs Chris and Roland. I look forward to reading about your accomplishments and exploits (as well as those of your colleagues) in near future. And if you vid any races or field events, post 'em on YouTube and paste the link here. Purely for my own selfish interest in GLand track from an alumnus perspective (I know you guys are living it in person). Q: Who is Jared that Chris referred to ?

I feel somewhat to blame for the lack of activity on the website. Without frequent updates regular visitors might be less inclined to stop back. I am in the process of moving all my files over to the desktop so look for updates this winter including a new "Long Red Line" article from Coach Drake.
On a slightly related topic--will there be anyone opting out of indoors again this year in favor of the Rebel Dutch movement?

On a slightly related topic--will there be anyone opting out of indoors again this year in favor of the Rebel Dutch movement? I think im the only one not doing indoor this year for the most part...rebel dutch is up in smoke at the moment and im just running on my own. Which I like because I dont feel as stuck to whatever my coach tells me to do (I like to coach myself sometimes) Is anyone else planning on doing the hangover half marathon this New Years?

I might do the shorter race that day. Half marathon doesn't really fit in with my training.
