Ok...sorry for the HUGE downtime that has become the defining characteristic of this site. The new site should be up next week as I'll be home on spring break and can pound out the last few things.
The alumni leaderboard is a great idea...there is a similar one on the Section 2 Harrier messageboard. This is something that can go on the main site. Dandy, if you'd like to be in charge of this let me know and people can give times to you via email or the board here...if not I can run it. Either way, I like it.

I'll be happy to keep the alumni leaderboard up to date. It gives me an excuse to keep up with what's going on in the sport. I'll keep checking results, but if I miss anyone I think getting updates through the board, personal messages or otherwise, works the best for me and it keeps people coming to the messageboard.
p.s. I tried to send this as a personal message, but it wouldn't work.

Hey Justin, Can you add some links to the homepage? It helps to keep people coming back and checking in once in awhile if you can get to the fav running sites from the homepage . . . one stop shopping. My suggestions are: section2 harrier armory track tullyrunners dyestat letsrun finish right timing r.i.p. Trackshark

Hey Justin- Haven't checked back in a while and I was pleasantly surprised by the updates. Glad to see it! Perhaps we should send an messageboard email alerting members to the upgrades?

Yeah that's a good idea...I was thinking about sending something out after I get the time to update it completely...maybe after Suburbans today? Headline updates are still needed for the last few weeks of results - Colonie, Johnstown, Fonda Frosh, Eddy (and now Suburbans) - despite the fact that the results are posted. I might also send out an email to all the alumni. What do you think?

Hey Justin, great to see you were out running in the park last week. I hadn't checked up on this site in a while, and it reminded me to see how you were doing these days. If you don't mind me asking, what's different?

Oh, and about sending something out to people. I'm not really seeing anything but alumni posting right now. Maybe someone should make sure this year's team knows about the messageboard. It used to be a big deal back in the day, but by the looks of it I'd guess none of the current team even knows it's here.

yeah it needs to be pushed to the real team again. I talked to kosier about that last week and he's gonna tell em to check it out.
Right now not a ton is different. New layout and the behind the scenes stuff is different and lot easier for me to maintain. Soon it's going to be used as part of the coach's great guys to help notify the team of things and help kids organize carpools, etc. It will basically replace the sourceline, which doesnt exist anymore.
What do you wanna see on here Crowder? Is there anything cool you'd like see when you stop back on the site?

haha no i don't have any big ideas for it, but i was wondering if there was some big change i was missing. It's good to know that you're still taking care of this site, and taking it very seriously. It looks good as it is, just isn't really getting used all that much.

Okay, it's been a while since I've visited the messageboard. I cleaned up a bunch of really old posts and approved a few new member requests. I also granted Coach Burlingame administrative rights so that should help improve things. Hopefully we'll start to get some new conversation going. I really miss hearing from everyone...so how've you been?

Things are good, Andy, and to that end, two things: First, congrats on your's and Jen's first baby! Can't wait to meet the little guy in December. Second, congrats and great job with the St. Rose team. I can remember talking with you when you first took the helm there. What a difference a few years and some great coaching makes!
On a separate note, in order to drum up excitement and get some traffic flowing back to this site, we can't continue to have such long periods of time in between updates. I'm not sure who the new webmaster is, but there's got to be more of a committment to ensure this page is better managed. I'll personally help however I can, so please just say the word, but for now, moving forward I'll assume this will be updated accurately and with greater frequency.

Mike, I took the webmaster position from Andy two years ago and still hold it today. I'll agree that it needs to be updated more frequently. I try to update it whenever there's a meet, which should be twice a week. With that being said, I don't always get dual meet results so occasionally that knocks it down to once a week, and currently, I too am in a cross country season on top of my academic work. It's hard that my busiest season and the site's busiest season coincide, but I'm doing my best to at least get the results up and out before the end of the same day. Sometimes I can't get the news written up and posted until the following day or the Monday afterwards and that is where I fall short the most. For that I apologize and I'll put forth more of an effort in the future.
Anyone who wants to help contribute to the site, shoot me an email or a PM. Help is always appreciated. The more people who are contributing, the more personality the site has.

Wager-dude, Keep up the good work. I'm a casual/infrequent visitor to the board/site, but appreciate your work/attempt to balance SiteMaster and student-athlete. As Bill Murray said in "What About Bob": "Baby-steps......baby-steps....." Related to this topic: Would be nice to see increase in frequency of postings by current GHS team members. Used to enjoy picking up on updates and happenings via their postings (as well as seeing the comaraderie and even the occasional somewhat frivolous but entertaining posts).
