Thought I'd post updates from time to time for those who were wondering (though not that many go on anymore ) how our season is going along.. Our team is large this year (~100 kids or so) and many of the kids are newcomers. Several varsity guys have been injured lately, but they should bounce back soon hopefully. Our first dual is next Tues at home vs colonie & Shaker. If anyone is interested, i can post several updates regarding times, etc. this season. Hopefully more people will go on this thing.. lol

Nate, An oldie (1980 Alum) but goldie here. I only check the site every once in a long while anymore due to the lack of activity. Glad to hear you have big turnout for team this year. Hope this results in more interest from current team members. Post results and links to meets - might re-energize this site. And if not, hope you have a great season and set new PRs every meet.

Yeah, the coaches were kind of trying to encourage the XC kids to become more active on this site, but ever since the site's crash, I guess people forgot about it..
Anyway our first dual was yesterday and generally speaking the team had a solid performance. Although both colonie & shaker beat us, we still had several good early-season times.
notable performances: Sophomore Joe Cornell 11.1 in the 100m dash freshman Dan Dibiase ran 55.8ish in the 400 open, and Nico Turek clocked in at 53 sophomore Pranav Nayak and myself both broke 4:50 in the mile (4:42 for pranav- 6 sec PR, and 4:47 for me) sophomore knute Armstrong & junior Brien Miceli both were around 10:40 for the 2 miler
That is all I can really remember off the top of my head

For those who are still reading this/care about the team
a lot of good times have been hit this year: joey cornell has a 52.8 400m PR now and a 2:07 800m PR as well. turek has gone as low as 1:58.6 in the open 8. pranav 4:39 mile (PR) and 2:06 800 PR matt pasquali 4:44 mile knute armstrong 10:05 3200m brien miceli 10:23 3200m jon feil 2:08 800 and 4:50 mile also a bunch of younger guys have ran at or under 5 in the mile.
Yeah most of those listed guys are sophomores or younger. So the team's outlook for the future looks good at least.

Nate: Thanks for posting this. As noted in my earlier post, I'm 30+ years removed, but as an alum, still like to check in every now and then to see how current crop is performing. Keep up the good work on the track and posting info here - I appreciate it, even if it seems like this board has become somewhat of a ghost town.
