Tuesday was a great day for the Dutchmen. Varsity, JV and Frosh boys swept both of our opponents 15-50. Our varsity record is now 5-4 (South Division leaders) and our JV record is now 6-3. We had an unprecedented 9 runners earn 6 varsity points for placing ahead of BSpa and AP's #1 runners. (21 Dutchmen earned at least 1 varsity point) - 26 of 35 boys PR'd on the course, 10 of them Seniors running the course for the last time in their career. - Two of our varsity runners, Andrew Coy (14:25) and Austin Miller (14:49) placed themselves 4th and 10th respectively on the Guilderland all-time list. (Condolences to Mr. Wager who is now 5th ) This season we have four boys on the all-time Tawa list, and three of them are in the top 10. (Nico Turek is tied for 8th @ 14:45) and Sean Doyle is 24th @ 15:14) - Four of our freshman boys, Knute Armstrong (10:06), Matt Pasquali (10:22), Pranav Nayak (10:27) and Jon Feil (10:46 - 8th grade) made the all-time list on Tuesday, placing 5th, 9th, 11th, and 20th respectively. Well done future all-stars! Yesterday's workout was our first taste of hard intervals (8x800 at set paces) and I expect that the boys will still be a little tired for Saturday, even using today and tomorrow as easy recovery days. I am still excited to take a swing at the SPAC course for the second time and see how we can stack up against some of the state-ranked schools coming. More updates soon! Coach B.
